A-list artists Dua Lipa and Elton John are are throwing their weight behind the U.K.'s efforts to win the Eurovision Song Contest.

The "Cold Heart" duet partners, in conjunction with Tap Management, were selected to announce the search for who will represent Britain in the annual competition, which in the past two years has made global stars of "Arcade" singer Duncan Laurence and "Beggin'" rockers Måneskin.

Tap, which manages Dua, as well as Lana Del Rey and Elle Goulding, is taking over the selection of entries for the competition in an effort to have their country perform better in the contest. The U.K. hasn't won in 25 years, and last year, its contestant came in dead last.

Sharing her excitement for the new gig, Dua raved, "I’m a proud Brit whilst also being a proud Kosovan. I’m happy to lend my manager to the cause. I’ll be cheering them on!," according to The Sun.

Elton added, "There aren’t many televised events that are as big and global as Eurovision, so it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to remind the world yet again of the depth and diversity of our talent. I can’t wait to see what gems our friends at Tap Music will unearth."

Arguably the most famous artists ever to have competed in the Eurovision Song Contest, which has been running since 1956, are Céline Dion, who competed and won for Switzerland in 1988, and ABBA, who won for Sweden in 1974 with "Waterloo."

Ed Sheeran's new album = (Equals) isn't even out yet, but the "Bad Habits" star is already planning the release of his next one.  In fact, his manager says he keeps having to tell Ed to back off and wait a bit longer before he releases it.

Speaking to Music Week, Ed's manager Stuart Camp explains, "He doesn't like sitting on songs. They've either got to be given to someone else or they've got to be released, otherwise it just gets on his nerves that they're there." According to Camp, there are at least 60 to 70 songs left over from = (Equals) that are good enough to be on a future album.

"He keeps me telling me tentative dates [that he wants to release the next album] that are far too soon!" Camp complains. "So I'm like, 'Let's let this one live for a bit, shall we?'"

However, Camp is certain that if Ed's upcoming world tour "goes on as long as people expect it to," then the next record -- which is expected to be called - (Minus) -- will come out "well before the end of it." In fact, Camp declares that the album will out "before the end of 2024...for sure."

Camp promises "a few more surprises coming from Ed later this year, on top of the album" -- one of which might be the Christmas single that Ed has said he and Elton John are putting out.

As for whether or not he and Ed expect = (Equals) to be as successful as ÷ (Divide) was, Camp says, "We know the market's a different place, there are a lot more demands on people's time and music is consumed in a different way...I think as long as he's number one, he'll be happy."

How often do you hear of an artist asking fans not to stream his song, and stream his rival's song instead?  Well, that's just the kind of guy Ed Sheeran is.

Ed's hit "Shivers" has been number one on the British singles chart for several weeks now and Ed himself has been number one for some 15 weeks straight, thanks to his previous single "Bad Habits." But right behind him this week are Elton John and Dua Lipa, with their mashup remix "Cold Heart."

The prediction is that "Cold Heart" will overtake "Shivers" -- and Ed is the one who wants to see that happen the most.

"@eltonjohn is so close to knocking me off the #1 spot in the U.K.," Ed writes on Instagram. "It will be his first number one in almost twenty years and I really want it to happen. Please go buy/stream/download Cold Heart with@dualipa now."

He continues, "15 weeks at #1 was more than I ever expected anyway, love you all. Who doesn't wanna be knocked off by Elton anyway?"

Of course, Ed and Elton are close friends; in fact, Ed used to be managed by Elton's company, Rocket Management.  The two are also coming out with a joint Christmas single soon that will no doubt put them both on top of the British charts, so it's not like Ed has that much to lose by promoting Elton's song over his.

Ed Sheeran and Elton John have collaborated onstage, but never on record -- until now.

The U.K.'s Official Charts Company reports that while speaking to NPO Radio 2, Ed revealed the news that he and Elton, whose company used to manage him, are teaming up for a Christmas single.

Ed explained that Elton called him up last December 25 to say Merry Christmas, but also to say that he wanted Ed to join him to do another holiday song, because his festive classic "Step Into Christmas" had returned to the British top 10.

No word yet on what the song's title is, or when it will be released. However, the race to have the so-called "Christmas number one" -- the song that's at the top of the charts on December 25 -- is a big deal in the U.K., and Official Charts now predicts that this song, whatever it is, will be a strong contender for the title.

Elton is set to release his album of collaborations, The Lockdown Sessions, on October 22, while Ed is putting out his new album, = (Equals), on October 29.  While this Christmas single hasn't appeared on either of those projects' track listings, perhaps it'll be added to the digital version of the releases.

Elton John and Charlie Puth have unveiled their duet "After All," which will appear on Elton's upcoming all-star album of collaborations, The Lockdown Sessions.

The two musicians met in March of 2020 at an L.A. restaurant and since Elton was already a fan of Charlie's, they started chatting and discovered that they were neighbors.  So Charlie invited Elton over and they wrote and recorded "After All," which was the first track either of them completed during lockdown.

"Charlie is an amazing musician; we just hit it off. He’s become a friend and a friend of the family," says Elton. "Our children love him and he loves them. Everyone we’ve worked with on The Lockdown Sessions I’ve really gotten closer to them, it’s quite amazing."

"I played electric piano and actually wrote the song all the way through and then Charlie wrote the lyrics pretty quickly," he adds. "He’s incredibly quick, Charlie. We just had an amazing chemistry in the studio."

Charlie, who says he's been a fan of Elton his "entire life," adds, "It is truly incredible how the melodies and chords seem to come to him instantly whenever he sits down at the piano...He is world class and the true definition of a musical genius. Being a part of his musical journey is a dream come true."

This weekend, Elton and Charlie will both be performing in Paris during the Global Citizen Live event, which will span seven continents and feature more than 50 artists over 24 hours. You can watch it on ABC TV and ABC News Live.

On Sunday, Charlie and Elton will go live on their TikTok pages to chat about the collaboration.

Now that many artists have returned to the road following the lockdowns of 2020, ticket marketplace StubHub is able to once again announce who the most in-demand touring artists are this fall -- and which stars fans are most looking forward to seeing in concert in 2022. That would be Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber, respectively.

Based on StubHub ticket sales for concerts this month through December, Harry's Love on Tour trek is officially the most in-demand tour, garnering more sales than any other artist this fall. By taking first place, he breaks Elton John's two-year streak on top.

The second and third most in-demand artists are country star Luke Combs and rock legends The Rolling Stones, respectively.  Machine Gun Kelly, Dave Matthews Band and country superstar Garth Brooks are all in the top 10.

But based on ticket sales for concerts next year, when even more artists will be back on the road, StubHub has declared Elton John to be the most in-demand artist of 2022, when he'll resume his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, his health permitting.

Also making the top 10 on StubHub's list of artists fans can't wait to see next year: Billie Elilish, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, and Rage Against the Machine.

When Elton John announced Wednesday that he was going to be in an UberEats commercial with Lil Nas X, we didn't expect to get three separate commercials -- and three sets of fabulous costumes, to boot.

Each ad is part of UberEats' ongoing "Tonight I'll Be Eating" campaign, in which celebrities detail what they've ordered and had delivered via the online platform.  The first one, "Rides," shows Elton riding a coin-operated kiddie rocket ride, while Nas is on a similar one in the shape of a horse.

After each singer describes their food order, Elton asks Nas to loan him some money to gets his ride started, but Nas doesn't understand him because Elton uses the British slang words for money: "bones," "lolly" and "bangers and mash."

Finally, an exasperated Elton says, "I don't have any money!" to which Nas responds, in a British accent, "You don't LOOK broke!"

The second clip, "Mayo vs. Ketchup," features Elton announcing that he's ordered a club sandwich with fries, with mayo on the side.  Nas, who's sitting in a clump of flowers wearing a Louis XIV-style wig and playing a sitar -- because why not? -- responds, "Mayonnaise? On fries?" Elton responds, "A little judgy, don't you think?" to which Nas adds, "That's weird."

The third clip, "Legendary Looks," features Nas dressed in the multi-colored spangled feather outfit Elton wore on The Muppet Show, while Elton's wearing a pink cowboy outfit like the ones Nas wore while promoting his song "Old Town Road."

"You look amazing!" gushes Elton.

"No, YOU look amazing," responds Nas.

"Thank you," replies Elton.

"Thank you," says Nas. They go back and forth before Elton finally says, "You're welcome."

As previously reported, Elton and Nas have recorded a duet with will appear on both their upcoming albums.

A brief video clip of what appears to be an ad for UberEats starring Lil Nas X and Elton John -- which apparently is going to arrive in full tomorrow -- has been posted on Elton's Twitter account.

In the clip, Elton is sitting behind a white piano, while dressed in a pink cowboy outfit similar to something Lil Nas X would've worn in 2019 when he was promoting his record-setting number-one hit "Old Town Road."

Then Lil Nas X walks into the frame wearing one of Elton's most over-the-top outfits: He's dressed head to toe in multicolored feathers, with sparkly silver sunglasses and a mirrored leather headpiece. Elton famously wore that outfit while appearing on The Muppet Show in 1978.

As the clip proceeds, Elton looks up from the piano, clocks Lil Nas X and says, "B**** stole my look!" Nas starts laughing, and says, "That wasn't it!," meaning that Elton delivered the wrong line.  But as both he, Elton and the crew off camera crack up, Nas adds, "You know what? Let's keep it!"

Elton and Lil Nas X have teamed up on a song called "One of Me" that will appear on both Nas' debut album, Montero, due out September 17, and Elton's forthcoming collaborative album The Lockdown Sessions, which will be released on October 22.

Last week, both Ed Sheeran and his pal Elton John told the media that Elton had criticized Ed's utter lack of fashion sense, and helped hook him up with some decent threads.  Well, Ed's come up with an outfit that Elton can't possibly criticize -- because it's one of his signature looks.

On Instagram, Ed posted a photo of himself dressed like mid-'70s Elton John, complete with huge pink crystal-studded glasses, sequined trousers, a fringed silver leather jacket, sparkly black-and-gold shoes, and a huge feathered collar.

"My brand new single Shivers is out friday," Ed captioned the pic. "I glammed up for the occasion."

In a second photo, Ed is wearing a suit and sitting on a colorful couch, looking utterly dejected. Behind him is a parrot sitting on a branch. The caption on that pic reads, "The moment you realize your last single has been number one for 10 weeks and there’s now a lot of pressure on the next one not to flop."

The photo appears to be a still from the "Shivers" video, as Ed goes on to note, "Shivers out friday, presave it, I rented a parrot for the video, don’t let that be a waste."

"Bad Habits," the first single from Ed's upcoming album, = (Equals), has topped the charts for 10 weeks in his native U.K.

Thanks to his Dua Lipa collabo, "Cold Heart," any barriers keeping Elton John from returning to the pop charts have melted away.

As Billboard notes, the mash-up of three past Elton songs created by dance duo Pnau has entered Billboard's Pop Airplay chart at number 39. This is the first time Elton's appeared on that chart since January of 1998, with his song "Something About the Way You Look Tonight."

If you're having a hard time imagining how long ago that was, Billboard has put it into perspective: Two artists who are currently on top of the Pop Airplay chart weren't even born in 1998.  The Kid LAROI and Olivia Rodrigo were both born in 2003.

In addition, 74-year-old Elton has now set a record for having the longest span of songs on the Pop Airplay chart. He appeared on the very first one, back in October of 1992, so now his span is a month shy of 29 years.

As previously reported, "Cold Heart" will be part of The Lockdown Sessions, an upcoming album by Elton featuring collaborations he recorded during the pandemic.  It features him working with everyone from Lil Nas X to Stevie Nicks to Charlie Puth.
